Horror Roundtable with the Horror Writers Association

On Sunday, March 13, at 3 pm EST there will be a roundtable of horror writers discussing writing horror and women in horror, specifically.

Join us for this informal talk and bring your questions and comments.

You can watch this on Twitch on one or all channels, depending on how many windows you want open!

I'll be putting the event on my own Twitch channel: http://twitch.tv/sephera666

It will also be in the HWA Ontario Twitch channel: http://twitch.tv/hwaontario

If you're a member of HWA Ontario, you can likely watch it in the Discord as well!

This is our first Twitch event so we're hoping to see you all there!

Have a great week!

Online Horror Reading at Galactic Terrors on December 9 at 8 pm EST!

Galactic Terrors

On Thursday, December 9th, at 8 pm, I'll be reading one of my stories at the Galactic Terrors reading series. Tim Waggoner and Lisa Mannetti are also reading.

Yes, Lisa died on August 19, 2021, but they'll be playing a recording of her reading. I think it's a wonderful tribute to her and she'd be thrilled to be remembered in such a way.

Tim and I go way back together. We both published with Leisure Books and Samhain Horror back in the day! He currently publishes with Flame Tree among other publishers and also is known for tie-ins such as Halloween Kills and Alien: Prototype. We'd see each other all the time at various conventions over the years. It'll be fun to virtually read with him! Maybe our paths will cross sooner than later in real life again if this pandemic ever ends!

This is a free online event. Go click the link right now to set the reminder!

Sèphera's Halloween Schedule 2021

Sèphera's Halloween Happenings

'Tis the season for thrills and chills, for creepy things, for the shadow people to come out to play.

I have a few things going on this Halloween season so thought I'd post some of them here.

As you can see above, I'm going to do three readings on my Twitch channel this month. I figure I won't be going anywhere so might as well you some of my favourite creepy tales. I'll read The TellTale Heart for sure as well as The Raven on another night. As for the rest, I'll see what hits me as I browse through my collections.

It's free to watch streams on Twitch. It's free to make an account if you want to chat or interact. You can cancel your account anytime. You might be surprised who all is on there from NASA to gamers to horror writers!

I'll be guest blogging at a couple of blogs. I'm not sure about one of them but I'll be blogging at the Horror Writers Association on October 28, 2021.

If you comment on my blog post that day, you will be entered into a draw for free SCREAM: Chills and Thrills app tokens! There will be three winners so be sure to comment when my blog appears! You don't have to be a member of HWA to win the contest. You also don't have to read my books when you win, you can spend your tokens on whatever author you please.

Live on Planet Lizzdom!

Also on October 28, I'll be on Planet Lizzdom at 8 p.m. EST for a live interview with Lizz herself. Be sure to tune in on YouTube or Facebook. Click the picture to check out Planet Lizzdom's Patreon.

Frightmare in the Falls October 29- 30, 2021

Come to historic Niagara Falls, Ontario on Halloween weekend for a real live horror convention! Meet some of your favourite B movie stars as well as writers, artists, and gamers. Wear your favourite horror cosplay. Come by The Great Lakes Horror Company booth to see Andrew Robertson, Sèphera Girón and surprise guests.

There will be a limited amount of paperbacks of Captured Souls, Flesh Failure, and A Penny Saved for sale. Autographs are always free as are pictures!

On the SCREAM: Chills and Thrills app, Captured Souls and Flesh Failure are packaged together in one book and titled Experiments in Terror just like they were packaged together in the print version when originally published by Samhain Horror Publishing a couple of years ago. At Frightmare in the Falls, you can buy them as separate print books. I only have a few of each, so come by the booth early so you don' t miss out!
